Address: 919 S Pacific Coast Hwy Redondo Beach, CA 90277

This is a rare moment…no line at LBJ’s.

Quesadilla with cheese ($3.50)

Super Deluxe Carnitas Burrito ($6.25)

All I can devour…

Complimentary chips!

Chicken Burrito ($5.25)

It’s a local favorite. It’s cheap. I approve…not much else I can say. The pictures speak for themselves. Also, drink Orange Bang!!

Update 2011/06/07: Frak. It’s been nearly two months since I ate this meal (and made the post). These pictures make my glands salivate…

Calbi Fusion

Date Visited: 14the of April, 2011

Name: Calbi Fusion Tacos & Burritos

Address: Visit their website  http://calbi.com/m/home

Another food truck…

Another view of the food truck gathering.

Menu

Beef Taco and Shrimp Taco ($4.99 + 0.25 for the shrimp = $5.24)

Shrimp Burrito ($6.99)

Apparently the Korean/Asian-Mexican fusion is the hippest thing right now in LA. First there was Kogi Tacos and now Calbi Fusion. I ordered the tacos. The beef and shrimp were cooked right and there was even  Sriracha hot sauce if you wanted to add a kick to your food. I have no complaints regarding the food. I heard the service is suppose to be fast but I guess I went on a busy night.. Waited a while for my food.

I think Calbi Fusion and Kogi Tacos are on the same level of delicious-ness. But none can touch Komodo tacos. I had the best fusion tacos there.

Pollo Asado & Carnitas Tacos (Any 3 tacos for 140NT)

Pollo Asado Burrito, Regular Size (125NT)

Pollo Asado Quesidillas (130NT)

Recycling to the Max – Corona Bottles Chandelier. Beautiful family portrait.

The flour tortillas are kept warm in wooden steamers on top of an old school Tatung rice cooker. When West meets East…

Wasn’t my first time and won’t be my last. Good food, affordable prices…what more can I ask for?! I definitely recommend the horchata.
