BIG CHINESE CHARACTERS IN YOUR FACE!

Only go to this one!! There’s an imitation shop right next to them!! So Taiwanese…

Can you spot my friend? Haha

Sweet and Sour Soup (20NT)

I always take my sweet and sour soup with some powdered pepper.

This is atypical breakfast food item for me but I made an exception that morning.

Steamed Dumplings  [蒸餃 Zheng Jiao]   (3NT per dumpling, 30NT per steamer)

(Eek! The color of the latter picture is a little odd.)

I can’t believe how cheap it is!! ALLLLL of this for USD$1! And not to mention, how delicious it is. Maybe it’s a psychological thing as well. Because it IS so cheap, it tastes that much more delicious. haha

Steamed Buns   [小籠包 Xiao Long Bao]    (5NT per XLB, 50NT per steamer)

It was demolished in 20 minutes.

SO DELICIOUS! SO CHEAP!! It’s also a favorite of the locals so expect long lines if you go during mealtimes.

I would definitely go back when I’m in Hualien!
